A cast iron welding electrode with a nickel-iron alloy core and a strong reducing graphite coating. It operates at low welding currents on both AC and DC. Due to its hardness, the chance of rust formation is extremely low. It is easy to weld and produces machinable weld beads. Suitable for joining, hardfacing machinery spare parts for reinforcement, and repairing cast iron components, including cast irons with graphite-containing internal structures and malleable cast iron. The welds from this electrode have high internal crack resistance, making it ideal for applications such as sugar mill roller tooth rebuilding.
